Human Ancestor Fossil Found in Europe

A fossil jaw bone and a few teeth have been found and are said to be the oldest human remains in western Europe. How do we know they are the oldest? By the layer they were found in. How do we know how old the layer was? By the fossil we found, of course.

The researchers used three different methods to determine the date of the fossil: palaeomagnetism, cosmogenic nuclide dating and biostratigraphy. See the Dating Methods page for more info on how these processes work.

Esentially those dating methods could prove:
1. The layer hardened durring the flood event
2. It happened at some point in the past
3. It was burried in limestone

From the finding of this one fossil we are lead to believe that by measuring it, examining it, studying the rock it was in, etc., we can now know how an entire group of people lived millions of years ago?! That would be like finding a dog fossil in my back yard and saying that that fossil was the direct ancestor to every dog that lives in my state.

Once again... NO fossil is proof of evolution.
