390 Million Year Old Scorpion Fossil -- Biggest Bug Known
21 November 2007
In Germany a claw has been found that is supposedly from an 390 million year old sea scorpion (pterygotid eurypterid Jaekelopterus rhenaniae). The Royal Society Publishing stated that the fossil was found in the Early Devonian Willwerath Lagerstätte (collection of fossils in a layer) and therefore once again the fossil has been dated by the layer. Putting circular reasoning aside (dating the fossil by the layer and at the same time dating the layer by the fossils) the existence of layers rich in fossils add increasing evidence to the fact of a world wide flood. This is only one of many places in the world that it is obvious that a large number of creatures have been buried in mud that can only be explained by a flood. Fossils do not form from natural processes, instead they require being quickly buried before the animal can rot or be eaten by predators. I'm glad that instead of making the default claim that this creature evolved into humans they made the logical conclusion that it is a ancestor of modern scorpions.
Several people still believe that when the earth formed that there was no oxygen and slowly we gained more and more oxygen so that life could survive. Gigantic creatures like this sea scorpion, monster millipedes, super-sized scorpions, colossal cockroaches, and jumbo dragonflies prove that something was different on this earth before the flood. Insects can not get this large today because they breathe through their skin and if they get much larger than what we commonly see today they have a surface area to volume ratio problem. The larger their volume, the less surface area they have to absorb oxygen through. This means that before the flood there must have had to been much higher oxygen concentrations than are found today. Not only does evolution have it backwards on how the oxygen levels increased, but it is also backwards on how we see and explain things like this. In the past things used to be bigger and better and we are slowly getting smaller and worse. This is the opposite of evolution.
1. Fossils are proof of a flood, not of evolution.
2. Earth was very different in the past and is now getting worse.
